Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
|
or is it....
Looks like Maxi Gomez is staying in Spain. Arnautovic gone and Hernandez not the player he thinks he is or was.
How should we line up ? I would of thought with the amount of attacking midfielders we have a false 9 type system would be worked on.
Fabianski
Fredricks Diop Balbuena Cresswell Rice Noble Fornals Anderson Antonio Yarmelenko
subs: Reid,Wilshire,Silva,Diangana,Johnson,Roberto,Lanzini
Or
Fabianski
Fredricks Diop Balbuena Cresswell Rice Lanzni Wilshire Anderson Yaremlenko Fornals
subs:Roberto,Noble,Antonio,Silva,Reid,Masuaku,Snodgrass
I quite the look of both teams, no sulky Hernandez or Arnautovic

Can't see this happening, though we may well go through August like this.

We are fucked with only one senior striker left at the club - who doesn’t even want to be here!!!!

eusebiovic I agree with you. I know we may have been burnt with Hugill but this guy is talked about alot. Back up striker to Gomez.

Don't worry Rick, I'm pretty sure Husillos and Pellers don't get their target list from suggestions from WHO.

At last, someone thinking along the same lines as me. It was quite sad to see some supporters happy with Mitrovic coming in. Gomez is a different level to him, something we should be looking at; not necessarily at a striker who plays for a club relegated from the Prem.
A plea to others, please stop suggesting Rondon as well!!!

Clealry Pell wants at least 1 proper centre forward to compliment our smaller tricky wingers/midfielders, like a real no 9 who is a bit of a unit, both Rondon and Gomez are over 6ft.
It seems very key now that we get Gomez over the line. Also hoping Silva progresses this year.

Antonio's best on the wing, as he keeps whatever fullback that's marking him busy, and gives us an extra goal threat to whoever is the striker. he's wasted through the middle

Antonio up front? How accustomed to putting up with stop gaps we have become as a supporter base after years/decades of poor investment. We should not even be contemplating this and I hope the club isn't either.
I trust Husillos to come up with the goods. He did so with Diop and Balbuena last year and Fornals so far this year. Lets see what happens.

I know we're not exactly high fliers, but I've never really understood why so many people wanted Mitrovic anyway.
25 goals in over a 100 games in the prem is no better than we have always had, so time to look for better.
And the fact only Newcastle and championship Fulham have ever wanted him must tell us something, as no other cunt thinks he's good enough clearly.

We need at least 1 decent striker, thats a given, preferably 2, but our options have fallen with Rondon and know Mitrovic unlikely, Gomez is anyones guess????
But if it really came down to throwing someone up top, then Antonio is maybe the best option, as i cant see Hugill getting a shout

I like Jarrod Bowen at Hull...Not as automatic first choice but I think we will regret missing out on him. Every time that I have seen him he is lightning fast and when he cuts in has a habit of leaving defenders on their arse and placing the ball in the net.
It might be the Championship but sometimes you can clearly spot a player who stands out.
I bet Palace get him to replace Zaha

If you want to achieve anything in the league, you need someone who's capable of scoring 15 league goals minimum and that's what we've been lacking for years, as even if we've had someone capable of doing that, they've been made of plastic and have been injured most of the time.
Be a long season if we don't end up with someone half decent.

we have hernandez and silva + a few converted wingers if he chose to pick antonio or yarmolenko as the main striker. it's not good enough and the cheapskate cunts need to buy a genuine striker/goalscorer
